Our
institutes provide opportunities for early childhood educators, early
education care professionals, and elementary educators to invent practical
strategies that support children’s ways of thinking and challenge
them to construct new knowledge. During each institute, Project Construct
facilitatorsa team of in-service child care professionals, early
childhood and elementary educators and administrators, and college
and university professors—share practical ideas and "hands-on,
minds-on" learning experiences that institute participants can
use in their teaching practice. Sessions include small- and large-group
discussions and activities with opportunities for participants to
address issues they face every day. Institutes are designed to help
individuals learn to make sound educational decisions as they implement
a constructivist approach.
