  Discussion Board

The Project Construct National Center hosts an ongoing support discussion board on the Project Construct Web site. The discussion board allows participants to

    share perspectives about an issue or problem;

    participate in ongoing learning after an institute;

    network with people who share their interests and concerns, regardless of location;

    create support systems with other educators.

Early childhood and elementary institute participants who provide an e-mail address will automatically receive a USER ID and PASSWORD that they can use to log on to the discussion board from the Project Construct Web site.

If you have questions about using the discussion board, call (800) 335-PCNC or send an e-mail to forum@projectconstruct.org.

  How do I register for the discussion board?

Participation on the discussion board is currently limited to past participants in Project Construct early childhood and elementary institutes.

If you have attended a Project Construct early childhood or elementary institute and would like to participate on the discussion board, call (800) 335-PCNC or send an e-mail to forum@projectconstruct.org. Please include the name and location of the institute you attended.

You will receive notification of your registration in an e-mail that includes a USERNAME and PASSWORD.

  What are the guidelines for participation?

The National Center developed guidelines for appropriate participation on the discussion board. You can read the guidelines by clicking here.

Feel free to call the National Center at (800) 335-PCNC or send an e-mail to forum@projectconstruct.org if you have questions.

  Who moderates the forums?

Project Construct staff moderate the forums to ensure that the discussion board is active and an asset to those participating.

Moderators may pose questions, ask for clarification, and encourage participation. They also check that messages adhere to discussion-board guidelines.

  Why doesn't the window that includes the discussion board open when I click the button above?

If your computer has a popup blocker (e.g., Google Toolbar, Norton Internet Security, Panicware Pop-Up Stopper, Yahoo! Toolbar, Zone Alarm) installed it might stop the window with the discussion board from opening. Thankfully the better popup blockers have a configuration screen where you can tell the software to allow popup windows from certain Web sites. If your popup blocker doesn't have this feature, you may want to remove it from your computer and switch to one that is more configurable. Another option would be to disable the popup blocker while you are accessing the PCNC Web site.
